Peppermint Autonomous Floor Cleaning Robots and Its Use Cases

Why deep floor cleaning still matters
Deep cleaning and sanitizing floors protects the workforce and keeps facilities at the internal quality standard they set for themselves. Handing that job to a Peppermint robot frees janitorial staff to focus on the high-touch surfaces that matter just as much (tables, chairs, light switches, door handles) rather than splitting attention across everything at once.
Educational institutions
Cleaning has become a front-of-mind concern for schools reopening and operating on ongoing hygiene commitments. Rajashree Kakade, Director at Shantiniketan Schools in Kolhapur, described the shift this way:
"We will have to take into account physical distancing needs and change classroom layouts wherever possible as and when schools reopen. We plan to undertake regular fumigation, sanitizing of our school premises, and teach our students and staff the need for personal hygiene and cleanliness, at all times and build up immunity through exercise and healthy nutrition."

Hotels & hospitality
Guests notice cleanliness, and that scrutiny extends to the floors. Peppermint's robots capture 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns (including bacteria and allergens), giving hotels a higher, more consistent baseline than manual mopping alone.
Large manufacturing
Food processing plants, engineering and hardware plants, and large warehousing operations all share the same problem: too many rooms and surfaces for manual crews to keep pace with. Peppermint's robots are built for that scale, combining a thorough floor treatment with anti-bacterial and oil-neutralizing action.
Warehouses
Warehouses were already deep into automation before cleaning robots arrived. Peppermint became one more layer in an environment many operators had already automated extensively. One of our earliest deployments, a large warehouse in the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust area, runs our robots on routes chosen specifically to keep them clear of the high-value materials stored on site.
Transport hubs
Airports and other transport hubs need cleaning that doesn't get in anyone's way. Peppermint's robots run with effectively zero disruption to staff or passengers while leaving surfaces clean. Because many airports pursue LEED certification and want to minimize water and chemical use, the added UVC disinfection layer on our robots is a good fit for that goal as well.
Offices & business parks
As offices and business parks reopen with more caution around hygiene, Peppermint's robots bring strong suction and up to eight hours of runtime, with cleaning updates delivered as the job runs. The robot adjusts scrubber pressure automatically for each flooring type it encounters, so cleaning quality doesn't depend on an operator getting the settings right by hand.
