Peppermint is an autonomous robotics company co-started out of SINE IIT-Bombay and supported by Qualcomm. With a focused goal of expediting the advent of service robots, Peppermint designs and makes commercial housekeeping robots from its factory in Pune and works across from its offices in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Dubai and Austin.
Overview
We are looking for a skilled IT Engineer with hands-on experience in hardware and system maintenance and practical exposure to ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). The role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring system uptime, supporting users, and maintaining information security controls as per ISO 27001 standards.
Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, or related field.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware & System Maintenance
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals
• Troubleshooting hardware, OS, and application issues (Windows 10/11, basic Linux)
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and system health checks
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC, repairs, and warranty support
IT Infrastructure & Network Support
• Manage LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Maintain servers (Windows Server / Linux) including user access, file sharing, and backups
• Ensure proper data backup and recovery procedures
ISO 27001 / Information Security
• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS
• Maintain IT-related ISO documentation, policies, procedures, and asset registers
• Ensure compliance with access control, asset management, backup, and incident management controls
• Assist in internal audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans
• Support external ISO audits and closure of non-conformities
User Support & IT Operations
• Provide Level 1 & Level 2 IT support to internal users
• Manage IT asset inventory and license tracking
• Ensure endpoint security (antivirus, patching, updates)
• Support onboarding/offboarding of employees (IT access, systems, hardware)
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in IT support / system administration
• Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance
• Hands-on exposure to ISO 27001 implementation or compliance
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, basic server administration
• Understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Good documentation and communication skills
Preferred / Added Advantage
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022
• Exposure to Active Directory, Group Policies
• Knowledge of backup tools, firewalls, VPN
• ISO 27001 internal auditor certification (preferred, not mandatory)
• Experience in manufacturing, corporate, or tech environments
